I think the greatest threat to the United States of America is the phenomenon that Donald Trump and some argue the Russians tapped.

The ability to spread misinformation and the lack of intelligence of the average voter will be the demise of the country.

The phenomenon is not as simple as it seems. A failing educational system, the laziness of current generations, the fact that people believe everything in twitter is becoming a great problem.


It is true that yes, bad information has always been around since the widespread of the internet. The problem is , there are many people in the world now that never knew a time when there was no internet. They do not know that reliable information was found on, journals, encyclopedias, newspapers etc.

Right now, Breitbart and other fake news are mingled with the real information and individuals are just to lazy and stupid to tell facts from reality.


I was reading a tweet that said.


"If only American college students knew that DACA illegals pay 10x less tuition than them"


It was retweeted several THOUSAND TIMES.

How do you counter that?



It is quite sad what is happening.

I would say by asking them to prove the ignorance they spat out.

This is also a problem. Those people do not have any willingness to look at the facts. They will immediately label you as a liberal.

In fact, the problem became yet worst when Trump convinced millions of people that anything that was not in his favor was just lies of the media, there is a very limited way for those people to accept facts. Even when you present facts or ask for proof, they do not care. They refuse to believe.

It is kind of like those people who object to accept evolution or other scientific theories.



It is quite frustrating, the worst part is that this is a global problem. Perhaps I am overthinking it but I am just of the believe that this will bring misery and destruction long term.


This election was very important, not only for us in the short term, but for the world in the decades to come.

Fake news are starting to be a real big problem, I saw a news bit where they interviewed Russians whose job is to basically troll social media with fake news, memes and such, and people are just too lazy to actually research for themselves, retweets and "like" buttons are more convenient to them, thus spreading erroneous facts

Even though I hope Daca gets saved. I'm not feeling bad about the people who he is picking for his cabinet. I don't want the whole economy to get as messed up as it was under Bush, but if the middle class people who voted for trump (mostly white) gets screwed the most and wind up the biggest loser for choosing him as president. That would be the sweetest karma for me, that's what they get for voting for a narcissistic, racist, sexist, lunatic. I hope their great white hope president Trump screws them in the worst way, and hopefully the sane people will manage to survive his presidency. Smh,lol

If this bill passes I may consider migrating to another first world country because this one may end up being a wreck.
