This is all very frustrating, I know. There is so much uncertainty with seemingly positive messages countered with some pessimism. Just today, look at this POLITICO article entitled, "GOP warms to immigrants they tried to close government over."

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/1...reamers-232391

More of that positive vibe on the very same day another article is released saying some lone Trump aide says he's going to shut down DACA. More of this back and forth will go on until Jan. 20. Bickering on this forum isn't going to do anyone any good. You want to do something? Call your reps who have stood by us and thank them for what they're at least trying to do. Keep telling them how important it is to make sure nobody falls through the cracks.

eligible individuals who have not yet applied could be granted provisional protected presence as well, he said.
Hopefully this means eDaca folks will qualify

Lets just be patient man. I have seen that literally all of California's Republican House Representatives support us. Those are many votes in our favor. Let's see how things play out. Let's not lose hope.

There are also democrats from red states oppose this bill. After this election, there are a lot more red states now. This will be a tough fight just like Dream Act.

Baby steps guys..

Atleast there's action instead of just words from Trump and co. One poster is absolutely right about a Senate bill and a House bill needs to be drafted. This Bridge Act will not pass under this Congress per wording alone. If they remove the last clause which includes NEW applicants, then maybe and sadly.. it will pass.

DACA will be cancelled for sure but something else is on the horizon and I'm betting you its the House bill that Ryan is discussing.

I don't know where everyone's stance is now, I don't mind having another year extension though to work things out. :P

^ This. Everyone needs to stop bickering. There's both articles that are positive and negative on the issue, and both are valid ways to look at the situation until we get details. At least Durbin and Graham are doing what they can to help us.

Thank you. No one on this forum knows exactly what is going to happen. I think what we can all rely on are the promising signs we have been getting the past few days, Trump and Ryan comments and also this bill..

Just relax, and maybe if this works out it may include you guys. It may not...only time will tell. The guidelines may be released one day. Then we can see. Im crossing my fingers that they edit that June 2007 date.

Do you guys think we would have to reapply for the bridge act if our DACA does not expire until 2018?
