I'm gonna consult with a lawyer but if you don't have to then there's extra no reason for you not to?

I would tread carefully since there's still the big "IF" of USCIS even fully approving naturalization for AR MAVNI's, so far I've only seen rumors and speculations, not one person has actually come out and said "I'm an AR in DEP and got naturalized before BCT" if you know what I mean.

no language MAVNI came out to say that, but AMEDD MAVNIs get naturalized before BOLC and all of them would get naturalized before starting BOLC. For language MAVNI I think some people have applied and received naturalization before October 2016 but thought it would be beneficial for them not to share and kept it in secret.

As I've said, speculations. Conjectures. This isn't some 'loop hole' that the FOB enlistees are hoping for. AMEDD are officers and have a different route than we are. I'm not trying to shoot it down, but just because it's not exclusively stated to not apply, doesn't guarantee the approval.

For someone on the last legs trying not to get deported I guess you can leverage the pending n400 in court, with the efficiency of USCIS I personally don't see the benefit unless people start coming out of the woodwork with proof.

Question, I interviewed with my investigator back in November and 6 of my references are interviewed as of right now.

Heard their going to be delays that all MAVNIs won't ship until FY18.

My question is does that delay apply to Army Reserve as well?

Are we expecting at least a one delay? And why is delay come like a week before ship date?

All reserves ship date has been canceled until the new security interview is in place, which means right now you have no ship date. Once they set the new protocol in place, we'll go back to MEPS to get a solid ship out date with no risk of delays.

So no one in AR will be shipped out as per their ship date...

I head from my friend who are in Army and he said they are doing CIs on people who are in BCT and AIT first to get them released.

And they are conducting CI every year for MAVNIs. Is this what you heard too?

Yep hold overs first, then active duty, and reserves last. CI process is just another layer of screening to make sure you're not a terrorist.

For those that are in AIT with favorable before mid November are grandfathered into the new system without the CI interview

For 2017, are they stopping recruitment for Korean speakers? I assumed that you would need to be pretty fluent but a 2 on the test seems to be quite low...

I have relatives who are trying to get me to talk to a recruiter next week but is there any point if 1. there's a huge backlog 2. no idea when 2017 opens 3. I'm Korean?
