I live in near Ann Arbor here, when I go to Detroit, I see that bridge, or go to Bella Isle and I just want to cross that bridge or swim accross that river to experience Canada.

Feels like I am trapped. So many people from work are border crossers too. My guess is they have dual citizenship, also on the weekends a lot of people cross and come to shop on this side or to eat, so many Ontario license plates, just makes want to go to Canada.

Excuse my ignorance but why not just live in Canada? Everyone I've talked to has good things to say about it!

Same as most people really.
Parents wanted to came down to America since running business in America generally is much more profitable then in Canada.
We came with legal visas and they applied for LPR for all us, but something happened and the process took well over 6 years so by the time our application was accepted for a review, I was over 21 and my application was denied.
None of us really knew what that meant at the time and we thought we might be able to invite me through family sponsorship so I continue to stay here and study.

So long story short, if I leave the country I'll trigger a 10 year ban, so I really don't have much choice but to wait and see what will come to DACA like most of you here.

I'm sure Canada is lovely although I don't remember much of it.
What makes me hesitant to go back is the lower wage compared to US, and 10 year ban :/

So all of your family have LPR except you? Man that sucks.

I am from Nicaragua. I am in a similar situation. My aunts, cousins, and grandmother are US citizens but no way for me to adjust
