We understand, it is unlikely.

Relax, you will not be deported but you might lose your working privileges and depending where you are driving privileges as well at least for a while.

With all the positive news we've been getting lately, people are still acting like nothing has changed. Remember right after the elections there was NO hope. So stop being negative Nancys and be prepared for a fight! I wish Paul Ryan would have said something negative like yea we are going to deport all daca recepients so that you guys can be happy.

Ending DACA does not necessary mean losing your working privileges (EAD). Unless he purposely rescinds them.

From what I can see, ending DACA can mean many things.

-End the Program...

-End the Program, but still process renewals that have been accepted or grandfathered

-End the program and stop processing renewals but keep current EADs

-End the Program, stop processing renewals and rescind current EADs

Huge note: The President elect has said he will end DACA, but he has not mentioned anything about Deferred Action itself on a limited basis.

Many of the first dreamers who gained Deferred Action applied directly by lobbying the Secretary of Homeland Security, Chertoff. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it did not. That is the danger of discretion!

This is most likely the outcome. He will end the program, but if you have it, good for you... it seems to be the American/Republican way.

Ending daca means a lot of things

Is Trump talking about i821D? Or i765?

We can only get i765 through i821D but trump can't just say oh and i765 has to go too.

Because we can only get i765 through i821D and if that ends, it won't mean our EADS are invalid. I don't understand the full process but it won't be an easy task for trump. Unless he did some EO cancelling and ending like that. But that would be political sucide

Implying that Trump knows the difference.

DACA will be decided depending on how Trump feels that day.

I can picture it going like this..

Monday

Trump's transition team: Mr. Trump, what should we do about Obama's ILLEGAL amnesty!?
Trump: END IT!!
Trump's transition team: What about those who already have it?
Trump: I don't care, good for them

or

Friday

Trump's transition team: Mr. Trump, what should we do about Obama's ILLEGAL amnesty!?
Trump: Work something out, They got brought here at a very young age, they’ve worked here, they’ve gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs, just wonderful, the best.
Trump's transition team: So what we should do?
Trump: I don't care, ignore it.

My point being, I bet there is no "deep" or "thorough" consideration of the pros and cons of ending DACA from the Trump administration, it will be a spur of the moment thing... decided by Trump.

But the main problem for me is that I have car payments and other bills to pay and if daca ends and my EAD expires then I am screwed.
