In short and in theory, If DACA is repealed but individuals are still allowed to have their work permits, a person who is EWI may still become a legal entrant.

I have a pending advance parole application since September. I'm still hoping to use it when approved to clear EWI. But like everyone else I'm waiting to see what trump does.

Do you think if we get to keep our EAD until they expire, but the DACA program ends, we would still be able to use our advance parole?

I sent my packet in mid-November, and am still waiting for the approval.
It seems like the average waiting time (or minimum waiting time for some) is about three months, so I will just patiently wait for mine to be approved. If my AP gets approved sometime in March, and our new president has not repealed DACA as of then, I will just leave the country anyway. I know it will be risky, but honestly with Trump being so whimsical, I think the only thing to stick to is your own judgement. If you have a solid reason for leaving the country on AP, it is your decision to make. I don't want to be swayed by what sort of mood Trump wakes up to and have my entire life affected by it, especially knowing that he will be in that seat for the next four or some years.

Hey, I submitted my AP application on Feb. 12th and I even signed up for email and text alerts but I have received nothing. How does USCIS notify you that your application has been received? And how do you check the status?

Would we still be able to apply for AP once the program ends? What about the applications that haven't been approved?

Even though you sign up for the email alert (G 1145, I guess), you do not always receive it.
However, USCIS will send you a receipt of notice with your receipt number and the center in which your case will be processed. Once you have your number, then you can check your status from the USCIS webpage.
If you haven't received your receipt within one month after you mailed your AP packet, you should then contact USCIS.

You applied for your AP on Feb. 2016? That's almost a year. You should def. call the representative to do a follow up.
