That is the question right there. Its been 2 weeks and every day they issue 800 work permits to Dreamers, at one point Obama's DACA will become Trump's DACA.
Whats the benefit of having DACA operate for several weeks and just come out in the end of February and kill it?
They keep saying that they will have something ready in a few weeks, its as if they dont want to kill DACA because if dead it has no value to them, they want to exchange it for something. I would guess they want to exchange it for votes, perhaps for funding the wall or something. Anyone else here feels the same way??

The "waiting on Sessions" theory doesn't make sense because the order has already been drafted and they didn't need him for their Muslim ban so they certainly don't need him for ending DACA. I think the most logical reason why DACA is still standing is because they really don't know what to do about us. They may ultimately decide to just end it, but each day that goes by and more negative press is added to the current administration the harder it will be for Trump to just pull the trigger on us. The question they must be asking themselves is whether or not the consequences that they would suffer if they end DACA will be worth the near non-existing gains of ending it. |
