I'm just amused that people on this forum still have faith in Der Fuhrer. "He hasn't repealed DACA yet so he must like us! I bet congress is going to pass a law for us...hell, maybe CIR!" Meanwhile they're going around rounding up anybody they can catch without mercy.

I'm just trying to teach these people that you shouldn't get ahead of yourselves. This is going to be one hell of a ride and you should brace yourself instead of deluding yourself into thinking everything is going to be okay. I'm in the same situation, as well, and I come from Haiti, a 3rd world country that has deteriorated since the earthquake of 2010. But, even then, I have accepted the fact that I may be deported 1 year from now and there's nothing I can do about it. It's like accepting that you have a terminal illness or death, however, this situation is far from that, lol.

We all have different mechanisms of coping. If that's your way of doing it then fine . However, don't belittle or knock others who have an optimistic point of view . Sometimes hope is all we have to make it through this life , it's a powerful tool for many of us dreamers .

"Hope is not a strategy, we must all have a plan in place." Even I have a plan when I go back, I may just apply for asylum in other countries since I have nothing in my home country. we do not even have 24/7 electricity like other countries.

Look you can have a plan and still have hope . Also, your plan of applying for asylum in another country is basically fantasy . Sorry to break it to you lol. So in the end your strategy might as well be hope .

Invalid, I've had several relatives who successfully migrated to Brazil, Mexico and even Canada through that way albeit it wasn't an immediate process. Haiti is a very rough place man. This plan is way more realistic than waiting for 2 laws that will never pass.

If I were applying in Europe or Dominican Republic, then yes, it would be fantasy, haha.

Anyways, I see dreamers with college degrees or they come from countries that aren't even third world, man, I envy them so much haha, you guys have so much opportunities, don't be afraid if you're in that situation.

Not until my EAD expires on May 2018 and the renewals are impossible due to DACA being repeleaed is done which won't take that long.

Sounds like you won't be applying for BRIDGE Act if it passes. Good luck in Haiti.

It will not pass due to lack of sufficient amount of GOP co-sponsors. It will end up just like the Dream Act which has failed to pass since 2001.
