.@PressSec tells me DACA NOT a settled matter, even though DHS guidelines do not touch it. Trump could eliminate it at later date (or keep)

He just said it during the WH Briefing.

I think he kinda needs to say that. If they outright say "We're keeping DACA" the alt-right base will lose their shit.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

I feel the same -- reporters are not making it easy for the press secretary. I was watching the video and it seemed like he tried to answer the question without going too deep into it.

If DACA needed to go, it would have been out of window by now. The only way I see him rescind DACA is if he works out a back door deal with congress to pass BRIDGE act.

If you ask me, the bridge act is a BAD deal. Its a one time deal for 3 years whereas, DACA will continue. If it survives under Trump, it will survive under any other president.

If the government right now is trying not to leave us without status by keeping DACA in place, you think they'll want to leave us in limbo after a legislative solution has been passed?

Chances are high that Congress would renew the Bridge Act after 3 years, or write in a clause to have it renew after 3 years if no other legislation has been passed by then that gives us a permanent status.

The Bridge Act would actually give a status, which DACA currently doesn't.

So I say, please pass the Bridge Act. It can only open the doors for something better down the line.

On Fox News this morning, they said said that we can expect another executive order on DACA in the future.

Here is the video. The part is shown towards the end: https://video.foxnews.com/v/53312705...#sp=show-clips

On Fox News this morning, they said said that we can expect another executive order on DACA in the future. They never said anything specific about what it could be, whether it is good or bad, just that we can expect something in the future.

I am not contributing to the hysteria that we are doomed, just posting what I heard. I do not believe that we are in any danger, for the record.
