This is beyond fucking disappointing. Not a single Democrat standing up when he mentioned a compromise on immigration reform. Politics is the true enemy of CIR. Democrats are full of politics.

Trump basically said he wants a merit-based immigration system like Canada. No actual details obviously, but he said he wants an immigration reform working with both Republicans and Democrats.

Something similar to the Express Entry would be great. We could get points based on our work experience, language proficiency, educational level, etc. A lot of people would be able to qualify for Permanent Residency like that.
