Currently waiting on approval (first timer) I am also in the process of U Visa (which will take a while). Happy to finally join!

Domestic violence. But my lawyer thought that I should also apply for DACA since U visas take a long time. She said in about 2 years I should get differed action, in 3 I should get a work permit and in about 5 years the u visa and 3 years after that apply for residency, its a long a really, and DACA is faster obviously.

No, you don't get DA until they put you on a waitlist.

In a different forum, a lot of the people thats apply for a U Visa get DA within a year maybe a year and a half. Where is your application pending?

Really? From what I know, it takes close to 3 years to get DA. That's when they put you on the waitlist to get a visa as they only have 10 thousand per year.

Yeah, DA through DACA. Did you have any trouble getting the certification from police department?
