Do something you'll enjoy - stem is good choice but you might hate it. Go to sites like code academy mess around with their tutorials and see if the concept of programming interests you

Computer science is not flooded. People at my company get sponsored left and right for that skill.

There is a huge demand for it.

I am Mechanical and I am doing embedded, there is so much opportunity it is ridiculous.

If you can attain the skill and not be completely useless, there are jobs.

There are many applications for computer science in the field.

Though, I think perhaps the OP should just stick to Liberal Arts at first, then see what options may be applicable at their place of study.

However, If I were the OP, I would be cautious about choosing certain majors where a career would require "clearance". (e.g. criminal justice degree or aerospace engineering(ITAR))

If you do not have the time(considering how you have a full time job and want to take classes in the afternoon) to program and work on it, I would not suggest doing computer science. It requires a lot of time(basically a lot of practice), but if you do have the time and you like it, definitely go for it. Go on codeacademy, like a user on here suggested, and pick up a book on it and try it out to see if you like it.

If you do end up doing computer science, you can send me a message so that I can send you some websites to help you practice and to do many projects.
