Helloooo! Just wanted to introduce myself and tell a little bit about my background.

My name is Keisha and I'm 26. Was born in Liberia off the west coast of Africa. I came to the states as an 8 month year old baby. I was adopted by an American missionary. Wasn't a formal adoption, my bio mom just wanted me to be safe during the time of turmoil. My mother agreed and I came in with very little to no paperwork.

Times because hard and a hindrance when all my friends starting going to driver's ed without me. Then it was part time jobs. Then universities and college and I went community college (paid out of pocket). And now careers. Wasn't until I was 25 when I got my first real tax paying job due to filing a Temporary Protection Status. I JUST got approved for I-821D.

Anywho. I think this forum and site is really helpful...not just for information and suggestions, but support as well. I welcome comments and love!

Your application was pending for a whole year? That's hella scary for us renewing.

I have nooo idea why the heck it took so long! When I was calling and checking they were just saying that they were having a huge back log. Was really frustrating but hopefully the renewing process won't take no where near that.

Not here or there but I've always found it weird when a grown ass woman refers to herself as a "queen" or "princess"; Unless you're a gay man who refers to himself as a queen in which case, more power to you and stay fabulous.
