This was completely blown out of context, ALL I did was ask if any fellow dreamer on here has been able to get a loan out and if yes if they could specify. All advice is appreciated and I understand I will need a job all I did was ask to what other resources anyone here has reached out for but instead I got a message saying not to take out a loan unless I want to become a party guy???

I do apologize if I came the wrong way that was not my intention. I don't know why everyone is coming at me so hard for.

Don't take it personally, IamAman is our very own community bitter old man because he aged out of DACA. He just loves to remind ever young member of how much harder it was in the old days. Don't sweat it, plenty of us went to college debt free prior DACA, I finished my undergrad in 2012. Took me 6 years for a double business major working two jobs during school and a third job during summer/winter breaks.
You'll just have to make a lot of sacrifices.

That is all I really wanted, hearing how fellow dreamers have paid for college gives me ideas on how to work it out myself! Thank you!!

I would feel insulted if you weren't a business major. That's where people go after they flunk out of STEM

MBA in Finance was always the plan 😉... But do tell me more about your now practically worthless STEM degree from 20 years ago. That resume must be popping by now!

Typically the MBA is helpful in getting you a management spot in your chosen field that's not in business - engineers, DevOps, etc. as it covers the more or less same subjects as a BBA but with a bit more perspective but still, it's not a cakewalk though quite easier than a STEM degree. It's not rocket science to figure out time valuation of money, calculate the beta of a portfolio, make an amortization chart, or play dress up on presentation days and wear a monkey suit and pretend the bullshit numbers on your powerpoint have actual meaning. Graduate accounting could a bit of a bitch especially if your professor was a giant cunt who catered to the half of the class who were master of accountancy students but I digress.

I mean think about it, most of the people in the MBA program are NOT undergrad business majors and yet they do just as well as the BBA's in the class but the opposite is not true. You can't put a BBA in say a master's program in computer science and expect him/her to not run out in a panic after their first lab assignment. Hell, a lot of CS students can't even get into that program so picking the MBA as their master's program was almost like a consolation prize. Or so I heard.

But anyhoo, it is kind of comical that my degrees are useless in that due to not having the privilege of being a DACA holder such yourself, I am prevented from having a respectable high dollar job the way even the dumbest kid in my class has now. Still, I even in my disreputable life, I have found ways to use my skills indirectly so it's not a complete loss.

The biggest point you're missing however, and something that you would know if you were STEM is that the idea is never to teach us what's in fashion because even in the 3 years it takes to finish the program, everything we would have learned would be obsolete. It wasn't ITT Tech. What they taught was theory that never changes and the ability to learn all the new trends on our own.

In that regard I am fully employable as soon as the current immigration nightmare is over. What you think I sit around feeling sorry for myself every weekend while pounding away cheesecake? No, I hole myself up in a starbucks and work on .NET, android programming, or work on technical interview questions. Life is a long game...the final score is yet to be written.

I also encountered such a problem. Unfortunately, my parents can not help me in paying my college. Every day I work for several hours. I also plan to work all summer.

By the way, I see many people graduates with useless degree with 4 years loans. This is very stupid. Try to pick a degree that you can utilize. Don't be a biology major working at a business firm. Biology is one of those major, where if you can't get into med. school you are pretty much screwed.
