Hi ,I'm 25 currently residing in Arlington TX... I need to know if anybody has renewed there permit this year successfully ? I'm up for renewal In October ...my daca expires in October...i have received a letter from UCIS stating that I should renew asap...however with the new SB 4 law that just passed I don't know why to make of things...I'm just concerned that they might set us up at the biometrics appointment or something of that sort...has anybody renewed successfully recently? This would greatly ease my mind...please reply I'm in deep anguish...I am mother of 3 whose desperate for some type of consolation any info is greatly appreciated

just calm down, nothing is law just yet, you're going to be fine.

you should start your renewal asap, once you have the money let it fly, that way you can do your bios while still having protected status. even if they did round ups you can show them your EAD and be on your way.

good luck and stay blessed!

I'm in Texas. Calm down. If you have currently have DACA and don't commit crimes, then you don't have much to worry about. Also, the law passed, but it's not in effect yet.

I can assure you that they're not going to start setting up people at the Biometrics apts. it would look horrible from a political standpoint. Renew ASAP and you should be fine.

Hi I am from Dallas, TX I just renewed my DACA on March. USCIS did not received my app until April which I guess my lawyer did not send my app until April, bios were scheduled for late April did walk in on April 24 contact my Congresswoman on May 10 and was approved on May 19th have not received EAD yet but I think should receive it anytime now. I am too a mom of a 5 year old, but as you have seen on news and social media a lot of activist are trying to put a stop to this new "law." I would recommend to renew ASAP the sooner the better. Good luck. Lets just keep praying this law gets stop before September since many of us dreamers would not be affected but mainly our family members who are lack status.

What did you say to your congresswoman about your Daca renewal?
Did you email them ? or called them?

I contacted my Congressman and I haven't heard back from them. I emailed them. I just don't know if I am supposed to call them or something. Let me know!!! please.

Thank you!

Hi, I went to her office with my release form, renewal app, and all my documents(bc, passport, AP docs.) I called on a Monday to see if there was any chance my case could be expedited since my employer was asking for my updated EAD. I was told that first I needed to fax or email a release form, but since her office is about 20 mins from my home decided to go in person. I was going to call her after the 2nd week but I received txt on the weekend stating my EAD was sent to production. I receive an email, letter in mail, and call about a week ago with the news that my renewal was APPROVED. Hope it helps.
