Hello,

I just wanted to get y'alls input on a situation thats kind of starting to freak me out. For the past almost 5 years i've been getting this phone call from the same person (saying vulgar stuff he wants me to do) at first i just though he was being childish but since its been going on almost 5 years its kind of starting to freak me out. Ive blocked several numbers from whoever this person is and they either get a new google voice number or they call blocked. I know i could just change my number but for many reasons mostly work , changing my number isnt an option. I've talked to friends and they suggest reporting it but i don't know if i want to open up that can of worms.

Yes, absolutely go ahead and report it. What kind of can of worms are you expecting it would open up? If you're worried that about letting the police know about your immigration status, don't worry about that. That's none of their business. If you're under DACA, thats even better. You've got nothing to worry about.

It could also lead to a U-visa. Go ahead and report it and assist law enforcement for a successful prosecution.

Prosecution of what?

The most she'll get out of this is a restraining order. MAYBE.

Stalking maybe? That qualifies for a u visa. Victim is just going to need a lot of evidence

Thanks you guys! i'll look into going in to report it. I just really hate anything with police, especially in the south. But its gotten to the point where i can't take anymore, sometimes ill get multiple calls at 3:00 or 4:00 in the morning then it stops then like 2-3 months later it starts again.
