DACA to AOS? What are the steps?

Hi all,

I just got engaged two days ago! Yay! Anyways, I was wondering what are the steps for adjustment of status? My fiance wants to fix my papers right away. So, we decided to have a small civil wedding with just me and him first and apply for AOS, at the same time planning for a nice wedding with friends and family. I was wondering what are the steps. I looked up some information around and kind of have a gist of it. However, I would like to know what you all did with your AOS packet. We are thinking of hiring a lawyer, but that'll be costly. I know some people who did it themselves. Thanks in advance!
