Has anyone with DACA had any issues with Border Patrol Checkpoints recently (as of 06-20-2017) Particularly in South Texas (RGV Region) but other regions as well? My sister will be graduating basic training from Air Force in San Antonio and while I used to frequently pass the Checkpoints (Family in Austin), I have not made any trips up north ever since Trump got elected. My lawyer has stated that I should not have any issues passing with my DACA information but I shouldn't cross constantly. Luckily I'm working on my AOS but it's gonna be a while before anything so I was wondering if there's been any issue as there's been so much talk of DACA lately.

I think the lawyer is just trying to be cautious. They maybe thinking ahead for your AOS case. I assume your lawyer may believe a constant checkpoint interaction may not always yield a positive results, thereby urging caution on any interaction with law enforcement....just in case.

I had gone through the check point between Laredo and San Antonio like 5 time already (between March 2017 and now) with no issued at all. The BP agents didn't even ask any questions. I always have with me my DACA letter, EAD, ID, and passport, even work company ID just in case.

Well I know that in the RGV sector they are much more thorough cause of the region. But we'll see what happens when I go by the one in Sarita.
