Trump administration did say DACA was under review. Guess this is their slick way to get rid of it. Better renew before September folks. Send the renewals in early!

Thinking out loud would it not only effect those states that filed the suit , meaning the administration could still issue daca to all other states not in the lawsuit?

DACA isn't going anywhere without a replacement.

Congress needs to pick up this issue ASAP. We are going into July. It think it's fucking time.

The LA Times warned in February that Trump's aides were looking for ways to end DACA without making him look bad

http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-n...216-story.html

"They have examined at least two options that would not directly involve Trump, according to two immigration policy advisors to the White House: a lawsuit brought by states, and new legal guidance that details who is a priority for deportation."

"(The) possible path involves the courts. A handful of governors are considering a challenge patterned on the 2014 lawsuit filed by several conservative state officials against the Obama administration’s expansion of deportation protections. If they sue, Sessions could instruct his lawyers not to defend the program in court, exposing it to indefinite suspension by a federal judge."

i understand bro, but damn im as optimistic as you about trump keeping DACA but there are other forces that want us out. even if trump wanted to keep it, he has to abide with what the judge rules.

legislation is the only way after if this worst case scenario comes to fruition.

but im hoping this too shall pass... = /

The White House did not respond to a request for comment on the letter or the president’s plans for DACA. The Department of Homeland Security referred questions to the Department of Justice, which did not immediately provide comment.

Look out for more questions about this during the press briefing tomorrow. Something has to give , the situation is different this time around because we have a million dreamers stepping out of the shadows. Congress will be forced to act !

Trump appeared to soften his immigration stance last month, pledging to "work something out" for the undocumented immigrants who were brought into the country as minors.

"They got brought here at a very young age, they've worked here, they've gone to school here. Some were good students. Some have wonderful jobs. And they're in never-never land because they don't know what's going to happen," he told Time magazine.n

Not that I believe what politicians say, but will see!
