"When they write the history of these times, I'm going to be with these kids."

I really liked in press briefing when Senator Graham said something along the lines of 'if you don't vote for me because I support this bill than I don't want your vote'. Now that's strong leadership and taking a stand.

"Sen. Graham and I have been actively engaged with the White House for weeks, if not months, in conversation about DACA, the Bridge Act and the Dream Act," said Durbin. "We believe there are people within that White House who want to continue that dialogue and conversation and we are going to work with them."
Quote:

But at the bill's presentation Thursday, Durbin said he and Graham are in constant communication with White House officials on their plans for immigration legislation.

At the end of the day it will be the BRIDGE Act to save our asses, watch and see...

I really hope they put a renewal clause in BRIDGE Act (if that is what passes) because we'll be right back in this spot in 3 years.

Bridge act is not really saving anybody

It merely pushes the problem down further

In 3 years time we will still be in the same situation

"The White House has issued the administration’s position on the bill. The president has indicated he will not sign it and the secretary supports the president's position," said David Lapan, Kelly's spokesman.

I'm surprised it was shot down by Trump so quickly. Maybe he doesn't feel the same way about the Bridge act. Dems should compromise on anything though if they only want to give us the bridge act. Fuck them.
