I'm surprised it was shot down by Trump so quickly. Maybe he doesn't feel the same way about the Bridge act. Dems should compromise on anything though if they only want to give us the bridge act. Fuck them.

In 3 years time we will still be in the same situation
The dream act has 0 chance of passing. I would rather get another 3 years of working. In my case, that means $400,000 more income. So yes, please give us the Bridge Act. No renewal attached to it so it forces congress to act in 3 years.

Three years brings us to 2020 - election year. Unlikely anything to pass in an election year. And there's no guarantee democrats will win enough seats to help us in 2018. Of course, if that's all that can pass I'll take it.

Exactly. I'm tired of people being like that's so selfish, idiots don't understand that we have no leverage and that we have to take what we can get for the time being. That is why I hate groups like United We Dream, run by a bunch of idiots. And don't get me started about Astrid. Personally, I'm working on something... una guerita bonita que es ciudadana y que habla español más que yo.

I still think/dearly hope either an executive or legislative solution will be found before the deadline but this bill's as wishful as it can get. Even dems controlling all branches may have struggled with this one.
I do hope there's discussions going on between Congress and WH to sort something out at least for the short term and a piece-meal solution progressively for the long term.

A legislative solution that further pushes the problem down the road is what he meant. I've honestly gave up hope in our democracy. Shit won't change until more minorities make up the electorate. Democrats need to stay strong and let immigration to this country continue. Then we will have our dream act.

"Trump has asked his advisers about his power to pardon aides, family members and even himself in connection with the probe, according to one of those people. A second person said Trump’s lawyers have been discussing the president’s pardoning powers among themselves."
