So I have to travel overseas for my job. I submitted my advanced application mid-june and they received it June 19th. My flight leaves this Saturday.

I gave it until last Friday for USCIS to approve but they didn't so I decided to apply for emergency AP in person.

First I went to the Tucson field office and was met with attitude. I took copies of my application and the receipt for the AP application. I showed them proof and explained how it would be a financial loss to the company but they denied me. They denied me at 4 and I got there at 8.

On my way back to Phoenix I was already given up. I was accepting being let go or having to resign. But my GF suggested I go to the local Phoenix office. I wasn't convinced at first because I thought they would see that I got denied at the Tucson field office and it would just be awkward. But I thought I had nothing to lose.

So I went today and after going back and forth until the immigration officer was satisfied with my evidence, I got approved for emergency AP.

I requested 79 days since they don't do multiple entries for emergency AP but they only gave me 60 from today. Which works out okay. Hopefully my application for regular AP is approved by then so I can go back overseas.

I did have to fill out another application and pay $575 again at the Phoenix office. At the Tucson office I didn't fill anything out or pay. He just took my employer letters and evidence and told me he would call me back with a decision. I think he was set on not letting me apply because I saw him go over to his buddy's cube and show him my paperwork and I could see them smirking in a mocking way.

So that was my experience and it was kind of shitty because they have so much attitude.

Those motherfuckers from Tucson. What was their excuse they denied you? That was such a waste of your time.

Did the Phoenix officer seem surprised you were denied? Did he curse out the Tucson people.

My uncle just came from MX with with a B1 visitor visa and he said he was shocked to see how the officers at the border, which were most hispanics, are so arrogant and have such huge sense of superiority towards incoming visitors.

I wonder how your application will be handled now. Did you request for multiple AP in the initial application? I'm thinking they'll probably RFE you for either 1) You requested emergency AP and they might feel not needing to approve your original request and/or 2) The date that you requested original AP approached and went thus undermining your original request.

Piano, I don't think you understand. The guy needs the multiple entry AP for his job; this isn't going to be his first time traveling for work and will need multiple entries.

Also, OP, if that's the case then your original AP request will probably get denied

Not being able to go back overseas in order to continue training would totally suck

I'm an engineer for a semiconductor company but the headquarters are in Europe.

A copy of my flight ticket, copy of training schedule, letter from my boss stating why I needed to go how it would be a financial loss to the company.

They said my evidence wasn't satisfactory so they said no. The Phoenix office didn't ask about the Tucson office so I didn't mention it lol that was a good idea or they would probably deny me again. I think they just want to get you out of there
