I hope it's not affected. They called the processing center to see what the current status was because I had requested it to be expedited and they said they had not processed my request yet so they advised me to apply for emergency AP.

I submitted enough information. I hope they don't deny because I need to go back lol

If they do deny me, I think it will be because my EAD expires in the middle of December. But I have my renewal application pending so I hope they can see that. And in my application I asked if it could be granted until my expiration date

Yeah, it would. The first six weeks is general training and the second trip is training for what I will be doing.

I said no to a project at work because it required international travel and I was too chicken. Luckily, I work for consulting so they were able to put me on another project and my company is super flexible!

IMO you shouldn't have chickened out. This is experience you lost because of fear. Experience that you greatly need in the field to move forward.
