Also make it so recipients can't petition family members until they become USC. Republicans control the capital, it is nice to hope and dream but do you guys remember what happened in 2010 ? it passed the house and fell short in the senate.
Instead of granting LPR close to 2.1 million undocumented children they would only be granting it to 75k people who are already in the system sort of speak.
I agree but allowing anyone in the program to become an LPR after ending has to be done through Congress & the way things are looking now it's still far -fetched. The Bridge Act and Enlist Act have a more likely chance of happening and there are way more than 75k DACA recepients, it's close to 800,000.

Enlist act would provide a path to citizenship to very few people. No everybody can just pack up and enlist, also, the armed forces are not just going top hire 800k people out of nowhere. Shit, i think our whole army is only 1 million people. Enlist act would only benefit at most tens of thousands.

I never said that I supported it, I merely stated that it had a better chance of passing based on the amount of co sponsors so does the bridge act.

Beggars can't be choosers right? For the time being call your representatives, have your friends call as well.

I don't know, why they still have not release the Text for the new Dream Act bill yet.

I read the spending bill 2018, house bill it does include the wall funding but only 28 miles of 2000 miles.
If it is include just 28 miles of funding then, I don't think they would have any trouble passing the 2018 spending bill.
I feel like they will not have anything on immigration on the spending bill, but I hope i'm wrong.

if they want to end DACA by Sept 5th

they should make a decision on the Dream Act for sure ..

They are just giving us hopes and may not pass anything...

But all my fingers are crossed, even my toes, hell i might as well cross my eyes too ...just saying lol

I'm not bashing on anyone's hopes and dreams but based on my read, it will not pass. Graham and Durbin has been trying to pass numerous versions of Dream Act since 2001, republicans will oppose so that this law does not set precedent on issuing "amnesty" to illegal immigrants which will encourage parents from South America to keep on sending their kids here...

It is frustrating, I know, but my guess is that DACA will get phased out and dream act nor bridge act will pass under current administration. Good new is that democrats will most likely get their act together for next presidential election but it won't matter if house and senate is controlled by republicans.

If you are EWI, apply for AP and marry a USC when you come back from the trip.
If you are Visa Overstay, just marry a USC.

Currently, there are no other ways to adjust your status (except joining the military as DACA and couple other extreme circumstances).
