Hi, my fiance and I have been together for more than 5 years. We have been engaged for 1+ year. We planned on getting married on the 21st, however she just received her interview for naturalization for September 6th. Should we continue and have her take the new evidence or just wait.

I was thinkinh if we wait, officers may get suspicious that she got married right after she became a citizen when in fact, we have planned this for a long time.

Thank you all.

Have sufficient proof that you guys have been together for a while. As long as its legit, you got nothing to worry about.

Yep, you should be golden. No need to worry. She can decide to become a citizen anytime and she can petition at anytime. The issue is when you get married abruptly, and even so if it is legit, there is usually nothing to worry about. Good luck!

I'm worried that if we move on with the plan to get married on the 21st. Then it will delay her naturalization application since the information she submitted is no longer accurate.

I am sure it will be okay. She didn't lie when she applied for naturalization. She was not married when she signed and mailed the application.

Doesn't the marriage look fishy if you two get married when her neutralization is coming?

We got engaged 6 months before she submitted her naturalization application. We have been together for 5+ years. We do not live together though.
