^No, but he did say he's going to end current applicants on this forum who jump to conclusions and can't think critically for themselves.

This is a nonstarter,” Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) told HuffPost in a statement. Durbin is a lead advocate for legal status to young undocumented immigrants and a co-sponsor of the Dream Act to give them those protections, which the White House has said it would not back.

The Dream Act is bipartisan” while the administration’s immigration policy wishlist “sharply divides” even the GOP, Durbin said. So agreeing to trade Dreamer protections for that wishlist is “no kind of deal,” he said.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) tweeted that “Dreamers are not a bargaining chip for the border wall and inhumane deportation. Period.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) similarly tweeted that it was “reprehensible to treat children as bargaining chips,” and that “Dreamers are not negotiable.”

Basically all talk and not really serious about helping us till dems control all 3 branches. I really hope DACA gets rescinded. Maybe , then they will be forced to the negotiating table .

If you're in high school or college, I can see how calling for DACA to be rescinded may be meh OK for a few years until Trump is out of office, at least. For those of us who have completed college and are ahead in our careers, we cannot afford for DACA to be rescinded.

There is a high probability that it will be stopped if it ends up in Hanen's court . So what then? Apparently these democratic leaders are not willing to negotiate for some legislative relief for us.

If DACA is not terminated, the parties won't act. There is no reasonable excuse to not negotiate. There are FOUR bills pending a DreamAct vote. This is about nearly 1.5million lives.

That's a hypothetical. Nothing guarantees that if DACA is rescinded, a legislative replacement will be passed and enacted. That's a big risk to take.

I prefer the status quo to keep DACA until Congress replaces it with a permanent solution. I do not want to risk a lapse in status, lose my job, put a dent in my career, or worse, be at risk for deportation.

People get mouths to feed, a lot of people can't afford to take the risk.
