Posting this for a friend

So my friend took his biometrics and on the uscis website it still says biometrics appointment. Is that normal? Or the website just not accurate?

I don't think the site is accurate. My case still says they received my request and is now processing yet I received the letter for biometrics last week and did a walk in yesterday, and it still hasn't been updated to even say anything about biometrics.

Wait hold on, I just checked my case status and something has changed. The deferred action one (lower ending number)says the same thing, but the Employment Authorization one (the higher number) now says their records show nothing is outstanding (meaning they must have seen they have my biometrics now). Tell your friend to check both numbers.

So we are looking at 9 days.

USCIS takes a few days to weeks to update the status of your application. As long as he got his appointment letter stamped by one of the agents, you are good.

The odds are in your favor then!

I received my cards the day the status was updated.
