That SS number is yours until the day you die you just wont be able to use it for work

Smart people always have back up plans for life.
You're ignorant and arrogant as f.uck. Being smart has absolutely nothing to do with not having a back up plan when you have zero options. If you're illegal and you can't work to support yourself or family what exactly is the OP suppose to do? Are you going to loan him some money till infinity or until he self deports? Is one of your family members going to give him room and board? I rarely post on this board because of the entitlement by a lot of people on here who have DACA. They feel they are better than everyone else and forgot to empathize with people who don't. Suddenly folks are in a moral position to be judgmental and are clueless to the fact that Trump DON'T GIVE A SHIT about all the "millions of dollars" you think your DACA jobs are contributing to society. OP sounds defeated but maybe he's just tired of hearing "hoping for the best and preparing for the worst" when everything related to immigration gets worse by the week. It's exhausting and his age has absolutely nothing to do with it. We've all been there at one point but apparently you haven't since you're smarter than everyone else. Why don't don't you grow the hell up and stop acting like you're better than everyone else who don't have the luxury of having "back up plans for life". Better yet, why don't you enlighten this boards and share what your "back up plans" are and actually contribute something useful.

You went a bit extreme there but I somewhat agree on your point. Not saying he felt entitled, but I do agree that some people are so passive on this threat. "Nothing will happen", "we'll be okay", "stop over reacting." To some, to MANY, DACA is everything and they have the right to be fearful and concerned. Not saying they should go full panic mode, but to not acknowledge the real threat and fears of an issue is to ignore the threat altogether.

Lets hope that everything works out, and if it does not, lets hope for a solution in the future.

JM1009, I was actually very tame in my response. Extremist and ill informed would be comments saying only smart people have back up plans as if they are so far removed from the situation. The opposite of that is everyone else just being lazy or too stupid TO have a back up plan when we all know the realities of not having status. For some the realities are more severe than others. People have legitimate reasons to be concerned and even afraid and it's healthy to acknowledge that fear. To act like life simply goes on with or without because you have options is a blatant fuck you to everyone, highly insensitive, and completely unnecessary.

I certainly have a plan B, does it make me smart? probably. However everyone doesn't have as easy of a life as the next one. Some suffer from sickness or some are the breadwinners of their family. Different circumstances. Let's all hope for the best.

regardless if we are in the shadow or deported to another country, we will be more than fine. I have seen undocumented immigrants come over and become millionaires without speaking a single word of English. You can be successful in anywhere long as your smart and hardworking.

No, it's "Our LIVES are over.

In English, when nouns such as wife, knife, or life are plural, the f is switched out for a v, and then the -es is added. So wife = wives, knife = knives, and life = lives.

Better brush up on that English, Danny boy. In this political climate, it will be crucial.

Announcements haven't even been made yet and people are still tripping balls.

If you think it's over just fuckin' leave quietly please, rest of us will ride it out when we hear something concrete.
