Actually, i think this move by the White House is great.

They are doing the right thing by putting pressure on Congress to act. That's what they should have been doing all along.

I mean, really, what do you guys prefer? That the government holds a carrot on a stick for you guys forever, or that you become eligible to obtain some sort of status in this country?

Fuck this noise. Living like this is incredibly stressful.

We already know DACA is ending. We need to come to terms with that.

What I really wish is for him to allow the permits to expire so that buys a lot of us some time to figure out what's next. Or hopefully not lapse in status.

While I do agree to some extent. Trump has forced them to act on plenty of things but nothing has been accomplished. I love the optimism, but facts on the other hand are not on our side when it comes to Congress passing any meaningful legislation.

I hope Trump realizes how much of a mess Congress is right now and says "DACA will end only for new applicants and those already in will be allowed to renew."

That right there buys us plenty of time for Congress to get it's act together, but right now Congress is as toxic as ever.

The good thing about it is that Trump loves to proof the "fake news" wrong. Let's hope he does it with DACA and proves them wrong.

Anything can happen.

We just have to wait and see. You can be optimist or a pessimist.
