File i-485 while i-130 still pending ?

Hello dreamers,
Hi my wife filed I-130 for myself back in march 2017 when she was green card holder. She got her citizenship in june and in july we submitted her citizenship certificate to uscis to inform to update the category (E2 -immediate relative).I have DACA with I-94.

My lawyer told me that I have to wait until my I-130 gets approved and then I can file for my I-485 (green card application).My friend who is having same situation,his lawyer just filed for I-485 eventhough his I-130 is not approved.

So I am confused should I file for my I-485(green card application) while my I-130 is in process and not approved yet or just wait to get approved and then apply?

Please help me.I would really appreaciate any help.

you could have filed i485 and i130 concurrently at the same time when the petitioner is a citizen but not sure if u can send one while another is pending.

I have i-130 petition under my parents. Can I filed i-485 while my i-130 is still pending approval? Its been two years! USCIS is backed up and so slow. If I at least have my i-485 in, I get to get a work permit!
