He will give Congress six months to draw up legislation to replace the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (Daca), sources quoted by US media say.

The decision, first reported in Politico, is considered a compromise amid strong support for the scheme.

However, the sources cautioned that Mr Trump could still change his mind.

But anyways, if this news is true, at least we have six more months. But man, six more months of worry and anticipation everyday.
You know damn well congress wasn't going to act without a push . September 5th was never a deadline for congress.

Congress wasn't in session. Hopefully this lights a fire

Sorry guys, Trump might be stupid but it turns out Democrats are even more retarded. They were outplayed, we paid the price. I suggest you start saving for the hard times ahead.
That is what I have said! But my posts keep getting deleated. So, some people can speak the truth, but others can't. Wow!

Knowing how unpredictable Trump is, I am not suprised.

Your opinion is not truth . Let's fight for the best possible outcome instead of resigning ourselves to defeat.

Stfu..I haven't seen your ass talk about that at all. Your posts get deleted because you have racist tendencies and are a complete disgrace to DACA.

My opinion on this without knowing what may change or be clarified Tuesday.

Trump always intended to end Daca. His administration leaked early this week that it would end with an announcement looming as a lithmus test on how it would be received by people and the media. That's why there was no Friday announcement. This leak today is also gauging if during a holiday weekend anyone would still care by Tuesday.

If the info we've heard remains the same Tuesday with 6 month delay, I believe he's counting on a few things.
1. 24 hour news cycle where a topic will trend for a few days until another bigger fish comes around.
2. If big news comes from let's say Russian investigation or North Korea becomes a bigger threat that leads to war. Do you really think Daca will remain a priority? I hope so but experience leaves me less than optimistic.
3. With 6 months of waiting many will self deport, make moves towards legalizing through marriage or immigrate elsewhere. We are documented via this program and it looks to his base that immigration is decreasing.
4. Let's say there is some kind of compromise and legislation is offered. Now Trump has the power to veto if they don't let's say pass his healthcare bill. I've seen some talk about the wall being the contingency but can you imagine if it's healthcare?
5. Trump needs a win. Not a media win because that's just not going to happen and as we've seen so far the alt right has muddled the waters of fake news and real news. He needs a win from his campaign promises by any means necessary and we can either be a bargaining chip or a throw away card.

We should fight and think positive but being prepared is not being negative as some make it out to be.. Try and get some sleep if you can. We have a fight before us ❤️❤️❤️ I will leave you with a quotes that have helped me:

" It wasn't raining when Noah built the arc".
" It is not about being fearful but being ready to react in the right way"
"Expect the best, plan for the worse, and be prepared to be surprised"
"Stay ready so you don't have to get ready"
