Did I say it was the Memo? I said it was part of 'Talking Points'. I'm not saying we should give up, but WH is not our friend. And I've heard several immigration lawyers bring this up. Yes, it's worse case scenario, but there's the possibility.

After reading the whole thing, it seems like just rhetoric to me. Like, since we'd no longer have DACA after a while, we might as well leave since we'd become "illegal", in the case that nothing happens in congress.

Bingo. The White House isn't going to just come out and say that they'll let us go back into the shadows.

Okay. I get it. WH is not our friend. We need CONGRESS to be our friend right now. The WH can go to hell. You are right!! Please please take up the onus to educate our people here. Make some stickies. We need to fight the Dream org that are spreading fear in our communities instead of rallying Congress. I am already getting emails from org for money. This is money making season I am telling you. We will crumble if we donate and cave into their fear. Please.

Honestly, it is necessary for people to prepare for the worst.
Realistically there are people who literally expire on day 1 of termination of DACA. So they SHOULD have a fallout plan.
It sucks, but this is reality now.

Yes ABSOLUTELY. I have personally made the plans to explore my options for Canada. But at the moment there is no immediate evidence that they are going to do mass deportations. There's no way Trump is letting go of us. We are the Golden bargaining chip.

Neither the White House or Department of Homeland Security disputed the contents of the document to CNN.

"As noted, we expect Congress to pass legislation so this will hopefully be a moot point," DHS spokesman David Lapan said. "However, of course we would encourage persons who are in the country illegally to depart voluntarily, or seek another form of immigration benefit for which they might qualify."

Yeah... it's actually pretty "reasonable" on their end to say "hey.... make sure your shit is in order if things go south.."

I'm on the same boat as you and everyone else on here.. but we can't just ignore facts to make ourselves feel better. DHS issued a memo earlier and the WH sent out another memo a few hours ago
According to CNN:
"The statement was contained in a background document that was sent by the White House to offices on Capitol Hill, obtained by CNN from multiple sources.

In the "DACA talking points" memo, the White House laid out a number of bullet points for supporters on Tuesday's announcement outlining the administration's action."

Right? It's one of those things that they kind of have to tell us
