I know i am supposed to be hopeful and optimistic that something will get done. But my gut and heart tell me to be realistic and i am betting on NO. So far everything points to it. And the way DACA was rescinded today just kind of tells us what to hope for and what the current administration is planning. The topic is hot right now. but will it be in the next months? what happens after the 6 months and nothing gets done? It won't be so hot then. And i know they are betting that people will just stop thinking about the issue 6 months from now and it will become irrelevant. There will be something else more "important" that will need to be attended too. While we live with the consequences.

I was feeling hopeful after reading a few news stories about support for Dreamers....then I came across this one.

Don't know how to feel right now.

I predict a law passing this month legalizing all DACA recipients. This is coming from a dude who correctly predicted the following things:

- DACA not to be rescinded on Day 1 as promised.
- Bannon's removal from White House.
- Trump is not serious about deporting DACA recipients (He gave a 6 month extension and then moved on to say he willing to "revisit")

Um, no we are still illegal here and pretty much have zero grounds. Unless some law goes into effect that lets you adjust your status, its not going to happen.

Also Daca news will get buried in few days. Major hurricane in florida, tax reform, north Korea, Russia investigation, possible impeachment, ceiling debt will help daca news disappear in few days.

I don't see any bills on the table.

By February? Very unlikely.
By March? Probably not.
In 1 year? Bridge Act might have a shot?
Anything more is hopeful at best. It depends on how much voice DACA retains in the next 6 months. If it fizzles out and people forgets us, then we are done.
