you should start packing if you truly feel this way.
this is the last chance for ANYTHING to happen.
after these next 6 months the dream is over for everyone.
so there's no point to negativity unless you truly feel that way.

This is the equivalent to saying, "if you don't like it here leave this country", just pointing that out. People cope with stress in different ways, and people here should stop trying to silence the ones who think differently.

well I think we have all seen the DA votes come and go and nothing happens, i guess it does not hurt to give them a chance to fix it, I mean its been a long road though, this year I do think it may happen. There is support across the board on the issue, so just freaking maybe this is the year.

when people say "if you don't like it here leave" it's normally directed at people that do nothing but bitch and moan without doing anything on their part to make the country better, or change the things they dislike so much. it costs nothing to be hopeful, and really, it's the last actual chance any of us will get to have legal status, so i don't see why the mass negativity.

To you maybe it's a negativity. Because you don't agree with others' point of view. To the rest, it's called being skeptical and cautious. The past support my view, what support yours? Or are you just blindly being optimistic so you can sleep better at night? If thats the case, have at it.
