I'd rather go back to Mexico than have no work permit but protection from deportation tbh. But that's just my opinion. Waste of life.

I believe the is no such thing as protection from deportation and no right to work...

I think we might see a sort of legal conflict here. I am not sure. I am fairly confident still that the issue will need to get fixed one way or the other.

It would be devastating to lose our work permits.

As positive as I try to be, it would devastate me. I'm about to get my bachelors and now a days I'm thinking what's the point

Depending on your degree you can practice without working for anyone, Join a start up as an independent etc.

Time to get creative.

This sucks. I think Cantor is right. We'll probably just get the Bridge Act because Congress sucks. I started looking at vacations to Europe too ...

It's all good though. We'll win our dream.

They probably think Dreamers will eventually Self-deport. The devastation of having something only for it to be taken away and then make it close to impossible for us to get it back will eventually put some people in the state of mind of self deportation.

U.S. Rep. Martha McSally, R-Arizona, has been asked to join an informal group of Republican congressional members working on border-security issues and a long-term fix to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, her office says.

President Trump is right to call on Congress to act, and I believe this is a historic opportunity to bring clarity for the 800,000 individuals whose status in the United States is currently subject to the political winds of different administrations that come to power,” McSally said in a statement. Earlier this month, McSally was part of a group of lawmakers who sent a letter to Ryan requesting that the House address DACA.

At first I was skeptical about the working group that Ryan has put together. However, I think we have enough supporters in that group that could come up with a fair , reasonable plan for us . Let's see what they come up with. I doubt Mario Diaz balart and co in that group will agree to a plan that doesn't put us on a path to citizenship.

Btw, she's a strong supporter of RACA and an early cosponsor of the bill.
