I don't think Republicans will be coalescing around immigration any time soon.

With McCain being a no on the current repeal effort, Republicans next week will turn to tax reform.

That's going to take up a lot of the fall since there is basically an intraparty war going on and the donors are pisssed.

If tax reform doesn't pass we might see the end of the current Republican Party and it's principles. They might realign more socially liberal to be more palatable to certain donors that choice Democrats.

Tax cuts are going nowhere. They were killing ACA to basically foot those so they could make it "deficit neutral", and let it pass under reconciliation rules with simple majority. That window closes on the 30th and there's no way in hell they can get 60 if they can't get 50.
