The only reason Trump wants the wall is it was an effective chant ('build the wall') during his run for presidency and he needs a legislative win.

I prefer a static freaking object than all of the other crap they want. At least a wall will not present a "threat" to the families here.

It can easily be argued that it is a waste of taxpayer dollars and it will not make us any safer. I don't really care one way or the other on a wall compromise, but my opinion isn't what matters as I'm not in Congress.

the Secure Fence Act back in 2006. 64 Dems in the house.

Give him the wall. It'll be another reason for people to mobilize and vote for someone else in the next election. Will Democrats be just as culpable as Trump? Slightly? Maybe not at all. We are being held hostage over a stupid wall that does not present a danger to non dreamers in the US. Give him the stupid damn wall. I live in a house surrounded by walls.
