Dreamers,

Update. Last Friday I left the house. I am at my parents house.

We both have agreed to move forward.

I will be filing divorce papers sometime this week.

We already have our car insurance seperated, the deed I will sign it over to her on Thursday, I took her off my credit cards, etc.

AOS was withdrawn two weeks ago.

Though I still have a hard time understanding how things could so drastically changer after marriage considering you were dating for 8 years, I sympathize with you...breakups are not easy!

For us it was moving in together back in April 2017.

Thank you.

So sad and unfortunate. You've been together for 8 years and was married for only a couple months? How could a chamge drastically affected your marriage. Btw, whoa you're giving the house to her?

It changed drastically because we only lived together since April. It was more of a living together issue rather than marriage. Yes I give her the house. There is still a mortgage.

I've come to believe that everything happens for a reason.

You'll find someone better. Don't despair.

If I were you, I would’ve been the better, stronger man and just put up with it till the green card arrived! Then again, that is me and not all men are created equal. Now you’re back with DACA. Something that we’re not even sure what will happen. A few more months and you would’ve had a green card. Oh well, good luck on your decision. A friend of mind got married then got a conditional green card. He divorced less than two years, immigration made a fight about it, but he hired a lawyer. Now he is a citizen.
