Yes - it should not matter. But for EE purposes you need minimum 12 months work experience. So work experience thru Daca should cover it. Unless you need the points and then would need to show pre-Daca work experience in the "work experience" section of the forms - which is the basis for the application.

Regardless, you need to show ALL activity (incl. pre-Daca work exp in the "Personal history" section).
Zara, if you are serious... please consult with a lawyer. Some of us here have already gone through some or all the process here. But we are not qualified to answer your questions.

Yes, I have as well. Was trying to echo/add on to what you wrote earlier - based on my experience.

I was not asking any questions. Just providing info to those interested in applying based on their work experience - not thru company transfers/sponsorships.

I would highly suggest applying thru a lawyer/paralegal as well. But its good to be aware of the process yourself (and info required to apply so you have time to gather it) and ask the consultant you hire as many questions as possible because each applicant's situation is different.

Sorry if there is a misunderstanding - I was not asking any questions. Just providing info to those interested in applying.

Perfect. I went through a lawyer at my company so the experience wasnt as daunting.

My results:

Express Entry

You might be eligible for Express Entry, which includes the following federal economic immigration programs:

•the Federal Skilled Worker Program
•the Federal Skilled Trades Program
•the Canadian Experience Class

Yes - but note that "Federal Skilled Worker" is the old name for the Express Entry. To get a Provincial Nomination, you have to apply thru Express Entry first.

Skilled Trades is mostly for non-college degree holders (I think) and for specific trade skills (listed on the CIC website). Might be a good option for some of our parents or dreamers in these professions.

Canadian Experience Class requires you to have Canadian work experience I believe so wouldn't apply to most of us. It takes longer than the true EE to get PR. Similar to H1B here but not. Once you gain some work experience there, only then can you apply for PR.

I'm interested to know as well.

I have the option to join a company with international locations...and then ask to transfer if/when EAD expires and DA doesn't pass. Then wouldn't have to worry about finding work.

My apologies if this has already been answered, but is the $22K basically a requirement? I know it's a point system, but I'm not sure if anyone here has gotten it by clicking no on that question...
