Just checked my application online, and both were approved today 5 October. This will be me third renewal, and the previous one was set to expire on the first week of December.

Sent my renewal Aug 1, and was forwarded to the new Virginia center? The Biometrics appointment quickly followed, and I was actually surprised how quickly it came. So I guess the process took about 2 months to get renewed.

Now I'm off to get my license renewed once I get my new card! I really can't imagine the idea of not being able to renew my license.

Congrats to the recent approvals!

I was approved today as well. Mine was going to expire 10/27, I was getting really nervous so I reached out to my congresswoman, her staff was so helpful. I sent their office the privacy form on Tuesday and got my approval early this morning.

I also did a service request, but nothing came out of that...they said I had to wait until 10/20 for a response, 7 days before my expiration date.

I'm lucky that my employer is supportive, they had just approved a leave of absence. Anyway, two more years and then who knows...to those that are waiting, reach out to your congress people, you never know.

I just got approved today. Thank God!!!

Renewal received: July 12, 2017
Biometrics completed: August 1, 2017
Card approved: October 6, 2017

My card expires March 8, 2018 so I sent my renewal in earlier and they prolly took a few months off but that’s ok. Am happy. Hopefully next time we go through this process it will be for our GC’s!!!!

I would just resubmit. If it was an REF, wouldn't it say that? I would just call too to confirm if there's an extra step they have to do.

Hi, I’m new to this forum. My 2nd renewal application was received by USCIS on 8/03. This was my first time doing the process all on my own, as a 20 year old. I was a little late to send it in, so I’ve been expired since 9/15. I went in for my biometrics on 8/21 and the website hasn’t changed since then “ As of August 21st we are actively reviewing..”. I’ve already filled out an Odbusman’s assistance form and in total it has been 88 days. I’ve been reading forums trying to find a case similar to mine. Will I be approved soon? If so will be before the 105 day mark? If anybody can please help and provide insight will be greatly appreciated.

It's impossible to tell. It took my renewal over 3 months to get approved. Others were approved nearly next day.

I know this is really in retrospect, but why the heck did you wait so long though? I had the 150 days before expiration marked off on my calendar, had it on my phone, and I even got a letter from USCIS telling me to renew...

Sorry I know you don't want to hear this but there's no telling, hon. Their approvals are all over the place. You just need to sit tight and stay busy. It's not easy but it's the only option you have. You can call and place a service request if you haven't done so by asking to speak to a supervisor and providing a letter from your employer (if possible) but honestly don't know if it will expedite things. Mine took 4-5 mos. Good you submitted the Ombudsmen request. I hope you hear back with some good news soon!

Let's show each other some compassion!

Stop berating the kid.. Should he have sent it in sooner? Yes, of course. I'm sure he's not proud of it. But life happens. Whats done is done. You don't know this individual's cirucmstances. Maybe he had a family emergency, death in family, etc. I had it circled as well and always sent mine in on time or earlier but very nearly had a panic attack right before I did.

All of us are in a difficult situation which only we can understand. So let's go easy on each other, please.

Thank you! And no trust me I have learned so much during this time, stuff I guess you have to go through so you don’t take it for granted in the future. I definitely won’t let something like this happen again in any instance. Again thank you so much for your kind words and advice. I will keep you updated once I hear from them which I hope is really really soon!
