So you sent your renewal Sept. 6th and it didn't get returned to you in the mail until Oct. 5th?

This is what I find odd. It took them a whole month to send the application back when the first thing they do when they receive your application is to check if anything is missing or incorrect, including filling fees.

They probably did it on purpose to make it lapse and miss deadline.

When people say "citizenship isn't important. I can live on conditional GC for the rest of my life", this is what I worry. They are looking for ANY reason to deny us the right to live in this country.

Rep Gutierrez is trying to fight some of the application rejections:

Gutierrez Disputes 21 Cases Where DACA Was Denied Because USCIS Claims Post Office Didn’t Deliver Applications In Time

Quote:
I don’t care if it was incompetence by one federal agency or the other, the DACA applicants did everything right and they are still getting rejection notices and their whole lives in this country and the hopes and dreams of their families are at stake. I am sure there are many other cases like this across the country, but for the 21 cases that have come to my office so far, because somebody else did not do their job correctly we are taking innocent young immigrants and making them deportable. That is unacceptable.
