i mean, i can empathize with the DACA holder... but driving across checkpoints with other illegals is not a good look.

pretty sure in the end, the DACA holder will be let go and his/her status wont be revoked.

was he trying to smuggle family into the US from mexico? if not then this is bullshit, that is the only circumstance where i would be against this guy. or he tried to smuggle a family member who committed a serious crime, like a dui hit and run

Doubtful.... Guy was just giving them a ride. Didn't even drive across checkpoints like many who didn't read anything are claiming.

Did you read the article? He didn't drive through any checkpoints.

So was the family recently arrived? Was he smuggling them in? Or what?

Some white person saw a bunch of Hispanic people riding a car together and reported it. Not surprised.

No mention of his family recently arriving nor was he smuggling them in. They we're all in one car and he happened to be the one driving and someone tipped off Border officials that he was smuggling illegal aliens and that's how they got to them. However, all people in the car had been deported in the past which didn't help his case either. So far no smuggling charges have been made, but he is still locked up.
