He is in favor of both age cap and removing out of state tuition! For real go and check it. I think it is not the same to negotiate when there is a chance of Dream being introduce than to have a 90% chance of having Dream be brought to the senate floor tomorrow!!!!

Keep calling guys! And it's not too late to ask your friends to call (especially those who are LPRs and USCs)! I realize that the opposition is relying heavily on the "chain migration" argument so when you call try to explain to the staffers as briefly as possible (it takes some practice but I've done it) that it might take up to 11 years for DREAM beneficiaries to petition their parents and maybe even longer for those parents to receive IMMEDIATE legal status! Remember DREAMies have to go through SIX years of conditional residency before even getting a GC. Then they have to wait another FIVE to become a USC. Once you become an LPR, you're free to petition a spouse or a child but (depending on where you're from) they might be subject to a numerical cap! But remember, you have to become a USC to petition your parents! Having a GC isn't enough! Anyway, if you guys are up for the task, try pushing this to the staffers. If anything, it show them that we know our stuff! Good luck, people!

From my understanding there is not another 5 years to become a usc.. those 5yrs are included in the 6years conditional residency....

Sorry guys. What copy of the bill are you looking at? Oh well. If I'm wrong, then it would still take quite some time to petition your parents. 6-7 years from now, who knows what immigration will be like...

Okay I'm a doof. I caught it. Good thing I only started arguing aginst chain migration tonight. Anyway, I'll still say that AILPAC makes it seem like DREAMies can just petition their parents outright which is wrong!
