We can fix DACA in a way that beefs up border security, stops chain migration for the DREAMers, and addresses the unfairness of the diversity lottery. If POTUS wants to protect these kids, we want to help him keep that promise.

Flake has nothing to gain from this, he isn't even running for reelection. He's doing this because he genuinely wants to help. I'm 100% sure something happens January.

It's a tweet. It isn't indicative of whether or not he cares. He didn't fight for us in any even remotely tangible way this month. I don't think he will in the future either.

Is this "chain migration" they keep talking about only for the Dreamers - i.e. they don't want legalized dreamers to bring in all their parents, etc. or is it for ALL immigrants who are currently legal and/or citizens and they're trying to stop all that?

In my opinion, if they want to stop chain migration for dreamers until we are citizens, then sure, have at it. Eventually we WILL be citizens. If they're trying to prevent citizens from sponsoring their family members then that is a scary poison pill that will affect everybody long after the Dreamer debate is gone.
