My brother who is a us citizen will turn 21 in August and he’ll be able to sponsor her finally. Now Trumps racist ass wants to take away that chain immigration when she’s so close. Lots of families are in the same situation. I’ll rather not get anything than give Trump everything he wants. He can get his stupid border wall money but that’s it.

If your parents are illegal, they will likely have to wait for a Democratic control in the White House AND congress before anything will be done and it would likely not have a pathway to citizenship.

Worry about yourself now however. This isn't the time to be generous.

My parents are undocumented too and they would happily trade their lives in the country for mine.

I don't know why people can't get through a simple fact...if we don't get legal, it doesn't help them anyway! Stop with your "this is not fair" and "legalization for all", "no wall", no this and that nonsense.

Our parents are the first generation of DREAMers. The fight does not end here. I will not sell them out for interior enforcement.

Stop giving away the kitchen sink in negotiations; that isn't how politics works. You remain strong and compromise at the 11th hour in order to concede the least.

Put on your own oxygen mask first before helping others.

Bingo! CIR is impossible right now. Dream Act is extremely difficult as is. If we don't get the Dream Act now then we sure as hell won't get CIR and nobody can help anybody then.

I will say however that the chain migration talk is damn scary because if it passes, it means many parents won't get sponsored ever.

I've been lobbying for immigration reform since '13, my oxygen mask has been on.

We need a DACA fix that does not increase interior enforcement, and does not end chain migration. That is my red line -- stop giving away the kitchen sink when there's absolutely no need to do such. They don't have enough votes to pass over a filibuster; they need Democratic votes for any immigration deal, especially since some GOP Senators might not vote.

Well then we are never going to get any Dreamer fix. We're living in the age of Trump brosef. We are not getting a "clean Dream Act" with "zero Border security" lol. Common man. Flake is already working on a compromise bill and we should all back it 100%. With regards to chain migration, I think they are saying GOING FORWARD with FUTURE APPLICATIONS there should be no chain migration. I don't think by passing DA we will be putting "our parents in limbo." That is bullshit excuses that immigration organizations are making and lies they are telling our communities.
