I don't know why people can't get through a simple fact...if we don't get legal, it doesn't help them anyway! Stop with your "this is not fair" and "legalization for all", "no wall", no this and that nonsense.
So we help our parents by adding more ice agents to harass them ?

With regards to chain migration, I think they are saying GOING FORWARD with FUTURE APPLICATIONS there should be no chain migration. I don't think by passing DA we will be putting "our parents in limbo." That is bullshit excuses that immigration organizations are making and lies they are telling our communities.
You honestly have no clue what you are saying. I never said that we would be getting a clean fix. I said "DACA fix" for a reason. Again, I've worked in politics for *years*. The administration is going to have a tough time selling their 'merit based' proposals to the GOP themselves.

While "an END to the horrible Chain Migration & ridiculous Lottery System of Immigration etc." sounds good in a tweet, the issue is much more complex and will actually end up hurting merit based migration.

The RAISE Act has been framed as a merit-based migration system, however, it actually hurts our economy and our tech sector.

The Information Technology Industry Council, which has Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Apple among its members, released this statement saying that the RAISE Act "does not address the challenges tech companies face" and "injects more bureaucratic dysfunction" in our immigration system.

Former Twitter CEO Costolo said, regarding merit-based immigration: "The competition for engineers in Silicon Valley and around the world right now is extraordinary...there aren't enough of them, everybody's fighting for them, we all want more. And the notion that someone else will be ahead of us in line, screening those people, and not letting us screen who we want to come work for us, is just going to make it harder for us to compete. It's just that simple."

Perhaps you should stop peddling John Tanton's agenda.

He didn't say that he was against border security. Interior enforcement is not equal to border security.

This. At this point, a compromise will include border security. Will it include the actual wall? Can't say at the present time.

We understand you've been working for "years" with congress. How many times are you going to repeat the same thing? Somebody hand this guy a medal already. I also have 17 years of being undocumented and quite well versed under my belt so I also know what I'm talking about and people like me are the reason why you got the opportunity of working "years" with Congress. If I'm going to be living permanently in this country I want it to be absolutely secure and competitive. NO to bringing in people here ONLY based on blood citizen relative connection! We need a system like Canada's. I am in 100% support of a hybrid type of system which includes a MERIT based system to allow people here who are going to work in different fields. And I don't know who the fuck John Tanton is. You should understand by now Trump gives zero shits about all those technology CEOs opinions. You're arguing with a brick wall. None of that will go as long as Trump is in place. We have to work WITH his administration. We are at its mercy because "our saviors" Democrats don't have the balls to do anything for us.

Exactly. What is wrong with interior enforcement if it targets criminals? We have to go after the criminal undocumented people and get them the fuck out of this country. They are giving us a bad name. No to the gangbangers!

Fun fact: Interior enforcement targets more than criminals.
I sent a Freedom of Information Act request earlier this year to DHS and ICE.. In the Boston area alone, 37% of removals were of non-criminals. No crimes. See here for the data: https://i.imgur.com/Y9smFMC.png

That could be your parents one day.

STFU. That's never going to be my parents. That's what immigrant organizations say to SCARE our communities because they don't want any type of compromise passing. Are you sure you're not being paid money by them? One year of "interior enforcement" by Trump admin and I have still yet to see any ICE agent in my state or anywhere else that I've traveled in this country..and I travel ALOT. Stop lying and get on board. Dream Act & STRONG STRONG BORDER SECURITY/E-VERIFY RIGHT fucking now! That pic was probably made by some UWD loser in his filthy cubicle.

Let me repeat: 37% of removals were of immigrants with no criminal record whatsoever.

Are you simply going to attack me with ad hominems? You said our parents aren't at risk, but they already are. I posted evidence of such, and you offered nothing.
