GOP lawmakers have largely avoided talking about the border wall, a central Trump campaign promise, in negotiations with Democrats on legislation to provide protection against deportation for 800,000 young undocumented immigrants while also bolstering border security and interior enforcement of immigration laws.

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, a Louisiana Republican, didn’t mention a wall during an appearance on Fox News Tuesday, saying only that “there is an agreement that can be reached,” but “it’s got to start with border security.”

I think something is going to give this month based on how often Trump has been tweeting about DACA these past few days. Action is surely going to come this month.

I just don’t see the logic of all these activists and Dems replying to Trump saying, “Oh but it was YOU who ended DACA!” Like seriously You want us to live with DACA for the rest of our lives?

Maybe because it's true and saying that is not the same thing as saying DACA should be there forever. However, DACA should stay until a permanent solution can be passed.

And they still might not act even with this urgency.

I would rather have DACA in place at this moment in time than this uncertainty.

Nobody would have said this if he had used the words “Dream Act” instead of DACA son that tweet. Let’s get real. This corrupt Congress would have NEVER taken up Dream Act had DACA not been cancelled. And it was cancelled only due to the pressure from the AGs. It was kept in place for almost a year after being threatened on DAY 1.
