Don't think so because submitting your SSN is optional.

They do require to upload your EAC, which makes sense. I applied, I'll post if I get approved or not.

Are you kidding me? you can't even come up with $495 for the application? If you can't you shouldn't even apply. Now they will have even more reasons to hate us and how we take "their tax money."

This is donated money from private donors - no tax dollars being used.

I have been self supporting myself since 18.

No parents/relatives to lean on.

Almost everyone here has parents to buy them graduation cars, bros and sis to give them xmas presents etc. Not me though.

Nobody ever handed me a red cent.

I applied just like anyone and thankful for the help they afforded me.

When i am able i will help 3 more.

We don't know what some people go through, their situation. Maybe a DACA recipient lost their job sometime last year after their DACA expired. Maybe they are out of savings, living day-to-day as best they can. Maybe they moved out of their nice apartment as they can't afford it anymore since they lost their job?

Have some common sense, some of us need help. Some of us are blessed and have no issues coming up with $495. Some of us probably can't even afford a night out of town because we are living paycheck-to-paycheck due to a low-paying job, and no I'm not talking about a crap job, teachers for instance only get paid on average from $12 to $14 an hour and in my area that's not enough to live off of.

So think about that before judging people. We are all different and we are all in different situations in our lives. Some of us are getting paid well over $60k a year and live in a comfortable home with a new car and furniture while others are only getting paid $30k or less a year living paycheck to paycheck to be able to afford a small one bedroom apartment or studio or are still living with parents because we are helping our families back home.

YOU don't know everyone's situation or position, be more considerate.
