Believe me no one wants the shut down, but it’s looking like our only possibility of getting something done.

None of these make me feel at ease.
Assurances on DACA: kicking the can down the road
Cut a side deal: everyone and their mother knows that’s a no go
All falls apart: self explanatory

Shut it down.

Enough with “assurances”. Didn’t we get “assurances” back in September? Other GOP members have also gotten “assurances” and it has led to nothing.

There is no way a government shutdown will make Dreamers look bad, Democrats aren’t shutting down the government it’s republicans who won’t compromise, Dreamers are just one of many issues that needs to be solved, It is not the Dreamers fault if Republicans can not compromise.

Pelosi and Durbin snuck out of Schumer’s office, but were cornered by @tedbarrettcnn. Durbin: What’s the next step? “It’s in the hands of the leader.” Will there be an agreement before shutdown? “I don’t know if there will be an agreement but Leader Schumer is working on it.”

everything is literally in the hands of the Minority Leader and Senator from New York.

We will definitely look bad, but you have to see the twitter responses to Ryan, Cornyn, and McConnel people are blasting them.

IDK if people seriously don't understand how the government works, or are just sick and tired of politics but for the most part people aren't blaming us... yet. It's possible they just don't realize that the Democrats are holding the CR hostage because of us.

Regardless, most Americans support us and hate politicians so they'll most likely blame Congress and not us.

The majority see it the other way. Republicans are holding the CR hostage because of us. They could just as easily add a DACA fix bill to it.
