Trump is suggesting Mitch McDonnell use the Nuclear option (removing the 60 vote requirement for cloture), to pass a long term budget with Republican only approval. This is what I feared months ago, if the House is unable to block a bill and republicans don't vote against it, Republicans can pass anything in the senate with 51%.

Why is this breaking? This is yesterday’s news and it probably won’t happen.

Didn't some senate republicans voted against the short term funding bill?

If you look at the history of the House, it flips constantly. If Republicans change the rule, make no mistake, it will bite them in the ass when the Democrats pick up more seats and become the majority.

Well looking at the positive side, this could be good for us, we would only need 2 Reps to pass the dream act then, Flake and Graham.

Trump has no idea what he wants, I bet he will say something else later once he realizes how risky move is.

I think its less risky for them to pass the Dream Act than change the rules. They know they won't be the majority forever.
